The Vampire Diaries - Mafia

Trish and Dex asked me to talk with Tranq. Tranq was Katherine making him Mafia.

DD: Thanks for talking with me Tranq and CONGRATS on winning TVD!
Tranq: Thanks
DD: How did you like playing The Vampire Diaries?
Tranq: I liked it alot. One of the RM highlights, definately. I tend to enjoy games more when i'm familiar with their theme, which was the case with TVD mafia.
DD: That helps me as well! Was there anything you didn't like about TVD?
Tranq: A couple of players weren't participating early on in the game so they had to be replaced. That was a bit confusing and also got a bit annoying as those players were almost lynched due to being quiet. When they found replacements, the suspicion on them almost faded away completely as it's kind of bad form to lynch a replacement without giving them the chance to catch up.

- One thing i regret personally was, and i've also mentioned this in the thread, lynching DisgruntledPorcupine without checking if he was one of our recruits. At that point in the game, we knew there was a 1/6 chance that DP was a recruit, so i took a risk which ended up backfiring. DP, if you read this i want to apologise for being a crappy recruiter :p
DD: I'm sorry, I was one of the people who got replaced :( What was the best part of TVD?
Tranq: The last couple of days were a highlight, definately. With 1 civvie and 3 different baddie teams alive, i had no idea how things would turn out. At one point i was kind of hoping the hosts would announce "Team Civvie has been eliminated", heh. That would've been fun.

- Concept wise, i found the racial abilities interesting. It allowed blindfaeth and myself to figure out exactly how many Vampires were still alive, and how many we'd need to kill to get control over the Vamp ability. Black Rock's werewolf race combined with blindfaeth winning a prize allowed us to get Stefan bitten which i thought was a good use of the race abilities. I had great BTSC partners. It really was a team effort.
DD: How long have you been playing mafia?
Tranq: My first game was Hollow River mafia on STV, which started on February '09.
DD: Really? That was my very first game as well! Besides playing mafia, what do you like to do in your spare time?
Tranq: Recently i've picked up skateboarding again, which is something i used to do non-stop. Turns out i can't do half the stuff i used to do anymore and i need to take breaks every 15 minutes xD
Other than that, i watch alot of tv shows (TVD being one of them, excellent 2nd season fyi), and i always like to have a couple of drinks.
DD: If I tried to skateboard I'd just fall and break my hip :politegiggle: Are you known by any other name on other sites?
Tranq: I'm known as Tranquility on Piano, STV & LP, and as Tranq on RM & 4EW. No real reason why, really. It's shorter and easier to type.
DD: What Country are you from?
Tranq: Belgium.
DD: Do you work?
Tranq: I have a weekend+summer job as a bartender.
DD: That has to be fun! Are you a full time student?
Tranq: Yes IT stuff.
DD: Is there any fun fact about yourself you wish to share?
Tranq: I'm actually a real life vampire. I have two younger vampires who i've recently turned fighting over me. So when i received the role of Katherine i found it kind of ironic.
DD:  How do you like RM?
Tranq: It's great. RM and Piano are the two sites i visit the most. RM has a really strong game queue right now so i'm looking forward to playing those games.

Best team ever! I was ever more happy with the game when I got recruited.

Superman Mafia - Mafia

SuperDex asked me to talk with Rabbit. Rabbit was Zod making him mafia. He is the Ring Master here on RM.

DD: Hi Rabbit, thanks for talking with me and Congrats on winning Superman.
Rabbit: Pleasure is all yours :p
DD:  How did you like playing Superman Mafia?
Rabbit: It was very fun. Dex did a good job hosting.
DD: Are you sure you wanna say that out loud :politegiggle: Was there anything you didn't like about Superman Mafia?
Rabbit: The Host. :p
DD: That's more like it :rofl2: What was the best part of Superman Mafia?
Rabbit: When the baddies all voted together. We went way out on a limb. But it payed off with the lynch. You have to be risky as a baddie these days. Players are getting better at the game making it much harder to hide.
DD: How long have you been playing mafia?
Rabbit: A year and a half.
DD: That is all? I figure you had played a lot longer than that. Besides playing mafia, what do you like to do in your spare time?
Rabbit: Drugs *** and rock and roll!
DD: Figures  Are you known by any other name on other sites?
Rabbit: Dr. Sexy.
DD:  What Country are you from?
Rabbit: Texas USA
DD: Do you work?
Rabbit: I try to do a little as possible. I'm an electrical Eng. I own a company that designs, maufactures, and distributes He3 and Gama rays tubes.
DD: That sounds interesting. Are you a full time student?
Rabbit: Uh, no! :p
DD: :P Lots of people work and go to school. Is there any fun fact about yourself you wish to share?
Rabbit: I'm more awesome then everyone.
DD:  How do you like RM?
Rabbit: I hate this place. What a damn bunch of b*tc* that play here :feb:

Red Shirt Interview - Mafia

I'm sitting down with Sawyer today. He was Beardy Other making him Mafia.

DD: Thank you for sitting with me today.
Sawyer: Thank you for asking.
DD: How did you like playing Lost Redshirt Mafia?
Sawyer: It was lots of fun!! Bookhouse did a great job hosting and I loved all his posts.
DD: Was there anything you didn't like about Lost Redshirt Mafia?
Sawyer: Not really.
DD: What was the best part of Lost Redshirt Mafia?
Sawyer: Dominating! Playing as a baddie is more fun than as a civvie, I think.
DD: :politegiggle: How long have you been playing mafia?
Sawyer: About a year.
DD: Has it been that long already? Besides playing mafia, what do you like to do in your spare time?
Sawyer: Read, watch TV and movies, travel...
DD: I would love to travel. Are you known by any other name on other sites?
Sawyer: No, I stick to this one. It's kind of plain, but I came up with it back in 2005 on ABC's Lost forum and just stuck with it.
DD: Easier to remember if you are the same name too :nicenod: Where are you from?
Sawyer: Tennessee
DD: Do you work?
Sawyer: I am the shipping/receiving manager at a printing company.
DD: Nice, get to boss people around :D Are you a full time student?
Sawyer: Nope.
DD: How do you like RM?
Sawyer: It's terrible and I hate it very much.

SPIDERMAN INTERVIEW - MAFIA

I decided to sit down with Bookhouse. He was Sandman making him mafia.

DD: Thank you for talking with me today BH.
BH: Thank you for asking.
DD: How did you like playing Spiderman?
BH: I am a life long fan of Spider-Man, and DFaraday did a great job of integrating classic concepts from the comics into the game. So, all of that, I very much enjoyed. This was also a great game for me to play my "helpful Townie who mean old baddies Bandwagon" game for as long it took me. Night 4 is a fairly decent run for my game style. Over all, very happy with this game.
DD: Was there anything you didn't like about Spiderman?
BH: It was mildly frustrating that the Sinister Six mafia team never really gelled as a cohesive unit. I felt like if we had gotten a replacement for NotinOxford (who was a no show from the very beginning) a lot earlier than Night 5 (Dunny), then maybe things would have turned out differently. Like our role checker Timmer not being killed by the Radioactive Man because he sent in the kill that night on BWT on Night 2. We would have lost our leader instead, but as far as I know, Doc Ock was an otherwise vanilla Baddie leader. If he had a secret ability, I never knew because while I was in the game (up until Night 4), we never had a player in that role. Anyway, I think Timmer could have gone a long way in the game otherwise, and the role checks would have really helped the team. Maybe we could have used those to concentrate on powerful Townies to NK. Woulda, coulda, shoulda. The Townies still played a great game, and we still lost. :) Also frustrating: the number of ways people could avoid death. But if I was a Townie, I wouldn't have felt that way. :P
DD: What was the best part of Spiderman?
BH: The sense that we were playing the classic comic book characters, mostly through DFaraday's well written day/night posts.
DD: How long have you been playing mafia?
BH: My first game ever was Game Show Mafia at STV, which was in November of 2009, so a little over a year and a half.
DD: Game Show brings back memories. Besides playing mafia, what do you like to do in your spare time?
BH: I play a fair number of video games, mostly role players (Elder Scrolls, Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic, Baldur's Gate back in the day, several others), MMOs (World of Warcraft, Age of Conan, Lord of the Rings Online, City of Heroes, several others) and superhero games (X-Men Legends, Marvel Ultimate Alliance, etc). I also have a cat and a fiancee.
DD: Thats a lot of games. Are you known by any other name on other sites?
BH: Bookhouse Boy at SpoilerTV and I think at Lostpedia too, hence the BHB nick that sometimes confuses people.
DD: Yes, you will always be BHB to me. Where are you from?
BH: I live in and am from the Madison, Wisconsin area (USA), and have spent about 11 years in Florida, and 2 year stays in rural Georgia and California (the Los Angeles suburb of Santa Monica).
DD: That is a lot of places! Do you work?
BH: I am a writer.
DD: I love writing as well. Are you a full time student?
BH: Nope. I haven't attended a class since getting my last degree in 1995.
DD: Is there any fun fact about yourself you wish to share?
BH: When I moved to California for a website gig in the early 2000s, I asked my coworkers to come up with nicknames for me. One of them was Dingo. Loved that one.

The "Bookhouse Boy" nom du net was one that I started back before the Internet even had pictures, shortly after Twin Peaks went off the air. The Bookhouse Boys were the secret group of heroic Twin Peaks residents that fought the "evil in the woods." Sheriff Harry S. Truman was a member. I also used to be a librarian, so I thought it made perfect sense. And at the age of 20, I thought I could get away with calling myself a "Boy." Twenty years later... not so much.
DD: How do you like RM?
BH: It's my favorite Mafia community !
