Typhoon of Ignorance - At any point in the game, the Typhoon of Ignorance may PM the hosts and match a currently living player to a role. If he is correct, that player dies immediately. If he is incorrect, the Typhoon dies immediately.

That is an interesting idea...... :politegiggle:

I think it's a fantastic way to stop what some call 'rampant role-outing'. NO ONE would dare out their role, or even hint, with the Typhoon around. Takes ALL the onus off the hosts for making the call as to whether a role-outing is valid or illegal, and we all know that it's a really sticky debate.

By the way, the name of the role comes from the fact that it was Typhoony that asked me, in my next game, to make some sort of role that prevents role-outing. I guarantee that some form of this role will be in an upcoming game. ;) It gets its power form fear... like The Hunger. :D :feb:

In a recent game I played, I made a comment that read like I was hinting at a certain role. Which wasn't the way I intended it, but did happen to be my role. :no: So the mafia kept blocking me and killing the people they correctly guessed I would be protecting. :sobbing:

Here's one I can't wait to try out! Every time I host, I tell myself that I'm going to keep an ongoing documented story of the game - events that happen, interesting feuds, crazy lynches - but inevitably, the work of keeping spreadsheet records, running games, writing lynch/night posts, it wears me out and takes all my game-time. :(

My solution: The Scribe!

The Scribe will submit an entry into the ongoing archive of the game at the end of each day/night. This entry will be a reader-friendly account of the events of the day. Upon submitting the account, The Scribe will receive a power to use - one roleblock, one nightkill, one 'gift' to give, one message-send, one lynch-pardon... a variety of powers.

The Scribe can even earn a resurrection later in the game, and if they are killed, continuing to write can earn the resurrection for themselves! ( ;) a little incentive to keep going)

I like to figure out who is who, but out of respect for people, I never out of anyone, some people are not good at picking hints, so I dont like when other say "x" person is x role, I think they should be punish too... and the funny part is that a lot times the mafia are the ones outing the townies to gain cookie points with the town, while most townies never picked the hints

I only did it once to protect someone who was under heavy suspicion, but it was a hard decision, and I was not a role checker, I just picked a hint :P

And some games Im very clueless at picking hints :lol:

BR was telling me about Rabbit's game, and one element of his game gave me the idea:

Medium - At any point of The Medium's choosing in the game, one dead player will be given the rest of the phase to be able to post on-topic. This power cannot be used again within 48 game-hours.

What about the old Switcheroo able to trade ability's for the night?

May the Switcheroo could rotate abilities between one person per night number... so, on Night 6, he picks six players to have their abilities shuffled around for the night!
