Apparently I am not cut out for ebooks. I can't get into reading books that aren't actual books. I bought and never finished The Wind Through the Keyhole ebook version. I checked out the hardback version at the library today, and I'll read it that way.

The Introvert Advantage: How to Thrive in an Extroverted World

It doesn't classify as a story, but it's a book. :yarly:

Got a Kobo for my birthday, and some gift certificates for chapters and just specifically Kobo. Bought The Cuckoo's Calling by... Robert Galbraith (it's JK Rowling, the leak of it being her pen name is kind of hilarious). I think I like it better so far then Casual Vacancy.

I checked and the second book in the Last Policeman trilogy is out, so I'll probably pick it up next.

I just read Gone Girl as a beach read, and its definitely meant to be a beach read, not a serious work of fiction. I expect to see it as a movie sometime.

David Fincher is going to direct it! There's been lots and lots of speculation over the lead.

Has anyone read Jonathan Franzen's Freedom or The Corrections? They are my fave.

I also just read Where'd You Go Bernadettte? and I loved it.

I started reading the Hunger Games books. I read the first one in a day, and I really liked it. It's an easy read with a very cool story. I am about halfway through the second book now, and I'm liking it, too.

So I recently read through the Mistborn trilogy by Brandon Sanderson and could not put it down until I finished book 3, and holy s*it that ending was so good. Easily one of if not THE best fantasy series I have ever read. The characters are interesting and the worldbuilding (+magic system) is EPIC -- has anyone done or thought about doing a mafia based on it? I could totally see an LC/BR or LT take on it :p

Oh my gosh, LA! The Mistborn series is one of my absolute favorites!!! LT and I actually talked a lot about doing a trilogy of games based on the series, but she's been on hiatus since last year. I would still love to host it, but I have just been too busy recently to plan and host a game. Perhaps later this year unless someone else wants to do it.

I agree that the world and magic system would make for a very cool game. Have you read any other books by Brandon Sanderson? I loved Elantris. Also there is Alloy of Law which takes place like 200 years after the events of Mistborn.

Read The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt - for which the author won the Pulitzer Prize. It is worth the read (I'm about 75% finished with it).
